Erica Hjelmstad, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Raised in Granville, North Dakota, Erica graduated from Valley City State University in 2012 with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Science and Biology. She furthered her education at the University of North Dakota receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. After graduation, Erica and her family moved back to Towner, ND and she has been providing physical therapy services to the Minot area.
Erica has experience working with pelvic health, orthopedics and sports-related injuries, and pediatrics. She enjoys helping people of all ages return to work and play through specific functional-based exercises and skilled interventions. Erica is certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercises that focus on correcting pelvic floor dysfunction (leaks, tightness, and prolapse), diastasis recti, SI joint dysfunction, and low back pain. She is also skilled in manual therapeutic interventions with certifications in M1 Graston, Functional Dry Needling 1, and Kinesio Taping KT1 and KT2. Her goal is to provide quality care to all people and get them back to living their best healthy lifestyle.
Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, and three children, Allison, Cole, and Jackson. She also enjoys playing and watching sports of all kinds, and is the Head Volleyball Coach for the TGU Titans.
